Privacy policy
Last updated: March 3, 2026
Kuneko is committed to protecting your privacy and that of your children. This policy describes the data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have.
Data collected
On this website, the only data collected is what you voluntarily provide through the newsletter sign-up form: first name and email address. This data is used solely to inform you of the Kuneko app launch.
In the Kuneko app, a user account requires an email address and a display name. Messages exchanged between co-parents are end-to-end encrypted and are never readable by Kuneko.
Device permissions
Camera — The app may request camera access to scan QR codes (adding a co-parent) and to take profile photos or avatars. No images are captured in the background. Camera access is only triggered by an explicit user action.
Notifications — The app may send push notifications to inform you of new messages, calendar reminders, and validation requests. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
Storage and security
All messages between co-parents are protected by end-to-end encryption (E2EE) based on the Signal Protocol. This means that neither Kuneko nor any third party can read the content of your conversations.
Your personal data is stored on servers located in the European Union, in compliance with the GDPR.
Cookies and trackers
This website does not use any tracking or analytics cookies. No advertising cookies are placed. The Cloudflare Turnstile service is used for anti-bot protection on the newsletter form and operates without tracking cookies. The mobile app does not contain any tracking or advertising SDK.
Your rights (GDPR)
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict processing, and port your personal data.
You can exercise these rights at any time by writing to [email protected]. We commit to responding within 30 days.
